Keyboard shortcuts
Sirius’s own
Section titled “Sirius’s own”From 1.118.8 Sirius binds no keys, so every stock shortcut does what it always did. Its commands — Sirius: Select AI Model, Sirius: Toggle Thinking Mode, Sirius: Set API Key and the rest — are in the Command Palette; to give one a shortcut, open File → Preferences → Keyboard Shortcuts and search for its name. The chat input’s own model picker switches models too.
The editor’s chat shortcuts
Section titled “The editor’s chat shortcuts”Sirius is the default participant in the editor’s built-in chat, so the chat shortcuts that Code - OSS ships work unchanged:
| Action | Linux and Windows | macOS |
|---|---|---|
| Open the Chat view | Ctrl+Alt+I | ⌘+Ctrl+I |
| Inline chat in the editor | Ctrl+I | ⌘+I |
| Accept a Tab completion or next-edit suggestion | Tab | Tab |
| Dismiss a suggestion | Esc | Esc |
| Command Palette | Ctrl+Shift+P | ⌘+Shift+P |
| Keep all edits | Ctrl+Enter in the chat input, with edits pending | ⌘+Enter |
| Undo all edits | Ctrl+Backspace in an empty chat input | ⌘+Backspace |
| Keep all chat edits in the current editor | Ctrl+Alt+Y | ⌘+Alt+Y |
| Toggle the diff of chat edits | Alt+Shift+F7 | Alt+Shift+F7 |
| Restore checkpoint (chat focused) | Delete | ⌘+Backspace |
These are the upstream defaults; if you imported keybindings from another editor, yours may differ — the Keyboard Shortcuts editor shows what is active.
